When it comes to divorce, many couples assume that they will have to go through a lengthy legal process that is both expensive and emotionally devastating. Divorce mediation, which is an informal legal process, is one alternate to an otherwise costly trial. As the name implies, is the process where a neutral third-party presides over the agreement of a divorce as made between a husband and wife.
Not only is divorce a faster process than a trial case, it can also be much less expensive. Whereas a trial procedure can last for months or even years, a divorce settled through can often conclude in much less time providing both parties are cooperative during the discovery process and are flexible as to when meetings can be held. Part of Dallas-based Coach America sold out of bankruptcyStagecoach Group PLC, a Scottish bus company, announced Friday that it is buying part of Dallas-based Coach America Inc. for $134.2 million.
Stagecoach said the acquisition includes businesses in Texas and California, and will allow the expansion of Megabus, Stagecoach?s Chicago-based bus network.
Coach America filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in January, and the deal requires Bankruptcy Court approval.

</div>Texas unemployment rate drops to 6.9 percentThe Texas unemployment rate fell to 6.9 percent in April, down from 7 percent in March and 8 percent a year ago.
The state added 13,200 seasonally adjusted nonfarm jobs in April, the Texas Workforce Commission said, and saw an increase of 225,800 jobs over the past year.
Unemployment in the Dallas-Fort Worth-Arlington market was at 6.5 percent, down from 7 percent in March and 7.5 percent in April 2011.

The building has seven retail stores fronting McKinney Avenue and Boll Street in Dallas.
Kenneth Pratt and Joe Pastora represented Stockdale Investment Group. The seller was Uptown/McKinney Retail LLC.

</div>Greater Houston Partnership directors endorse Hobby expansion

The Houston business advocacy group said Friday that its membership believed that opening Hobby to international service would benefit Houston travelers.

</div>Houston unemployment rate drops to 6.5%
<img src='http://assets.bizjournals.com/houston/HoustonSkylinenew*100.jpg?v=1'>The Houston area?s unemployment rate decreased sharply to 6.5 percent in April, beating the state of Texas? rate of 6.9 percent, the Texas Workforce Commission said Friday.
Those figures are both well below the current U.S. unemployment rate of 8 percent.
The unemployment rate for both the Houston area and the state was 7 percent in March. In April 2011, Houston?s rate was 7.8 percent, while Texas? rate was 8 percent.
