omg i did?? is that going to ruin my chances of them hiring me :(
ya im from canada! ya i knew the spelling looked right to me lol! thanks! anyone else with advise?
well i can tell your not a teen and did not have a job as a teen so you wouldnt understand… they actually advise you to have a resume even without expeirence it shows that your dedicated and that you know what you want… and no they didnt have any forms to fill out.. its better to go there prepared then not! what planet are u living on lol!

I was a supervisor at a craft store and whenever a person came in and wanted to speak to a manager about getting a job they NEVER got it. The manager doesn’t want to be bothered by something ANY associate can take care of. Applications are usually kept at service desks. Just go there and ask for one.

    You mis-spelled "honors"

It looks pretty good, actually, for a resume with no actual experience on it. Some companies may be willing to hire you, yes. But do you know anyone who is already working at any of these places? If you do, and that place has any job openings, ask them to introduce you to their manager. That’s how I found my first job.

In addition, when you drop off your resume, don’t just drop it off with just anyone. Ask to see the manager. Tell her you’re looking for a position, and leave it with her. Make that personal contact, and it’s more likely they’ll hire you.

An aside to the other poster: Honours is how it’s spelled almost everywhere but the US. It’s in the US that it’s Honors. So if this person is Canadian, as I suspect from their use of "Grade 11" instead of "11th Grade" and etc, they are correct.

A resume is really for someone with job experience and/or significant education background. For a teen looking for jobs at the mall, just fill out their applications. Your resume calls too much attention to a lack of job experience.

impressive, very, but a few mispelled words I am sure they will over look, as everyone does hit a wrong key now and then

You could add more descriptive information attesting to your skills and past experience, even though you don’t think you have any past experience.

For example, you list "organizing charity events"… have you done this for any organizations? If so, I would list them and be more descriptive of what such organizing involved (obtaining materials, reserving the venue, publicity, etc.). These are all valued skills and I wouldn’t overlook them. Also if you’ve had any babysitting experience, I’d put that in as well. Do you have any references who can vouch for you?

Hope that helps, and hope you get the job!
